Dr. Joseph Ginat currently heads the Strategic Dialogue Center at Netanya College in Israel.  He served as the Co-Director of the Center for Peace Studies at the University of Oklahoma. In addition to being a Professor in both Israel and the United States, Dr. Ginat has held the following positions:

1976-1978     Senior Researcher, Prime Minister’s Office, Department of Arab Affairs
1980-1981     Member, Advisory Committee on Bedouin Sedentarization, Ministry of Agriculture, Israel

1987-1989     Advisor on Arab Affairs to Vice Premier and the Minister of Agriculture
1989-1992     Director, The Israeli Academic Center in Cairo, Egypt
1993-1996     Senior Advisor to the Minister of Tourism, Israel
1993-1996     Member, National Advisory Committee for Women Status and Role, attached to the Prime Minister’s Office
1994-present            Advisor to the Israeli Team, Multilateral Committee on Refugees
1996-1997     Chairman, Committee on Changing a Regional Council “Nahal Eiron” to 2 local Arab Councils.  Ministry of Interior, Israel
1997-1998     Chairman, Committee on Industrial Area for “Kafar Qasem.”  Ministry of Interior, Israel.
2001-2005     Chairman, Committee on Boundaries of Arab local councils in “Wadi-A’ra.”  Ministry of Interior, Israel.

 
Recipient of many scholarships, awards and research grants.

Participated and presented papers in 48 international and national conferences.

Author & Editor of 14 published books and author of numerous articles in academic publications.
